Rock ‘n Royals, Class of 2019

June 24, 2019 marked not just the 10th Commencement Exercises, but also God’s grace and faithfulness to the Messiah College family and nineteen (19) of its students, along with their families, who marched and graduated.

It was surely a fun and fulfilling sight to see – for the parents and the Messiah College family – as the Class of 2019 graduated. What made the celebration even more exciting was seven among the nineteen (19) were awarded with Latin Honors: Diadem Paraso and Justine Paraso, both from Integrated Communications and Public Relations, and II Timothy Salegumba, from Intercultural Studies were Summa Cum Laude; Abigail Agoncillo and Aleckzandra Palisoc from Integrated Communications and Public Relations, and Amanda Barretto from Intercultural Studies were Magna Cum Laude; and Paula Praxidio from Intercultural Studies was Cum Laude.

Moreover, six students were presented with Special Awards: two for the Church Ministry Award, one Emerging Leader Award, one Great Commission Award and two for the President’s Award.

May you continue to be God’s ambassadors – but now in your workplaces and future endeavours!

Baccalaureate and Hooding Ceremony 2019

Psalm 61:2, “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

June 18, 2019 was a celebration for the graduating class of 2019, along with the members of the faculty and staff, parents and honourable guests, as Messiah College held its 10th Baccalaureate and Hooding Ceremony.

Eighteen graduating students were hooded for their Bachelor’s Degrees: three from Accountancy, seven from Integrated Communications and Public Relations, five from Intercultural Studies and three from Psychology. Among the roster, three were awarded Dean’s Listers and another three were awarded President’s Circle.

The ceremony was graced by Mrs. Emmaloisa Malibiran Salumbides, 702 DZAS broadcaster and the Executive Director of Wise Up Global Ministry, who gave a sage Baccalaureate Address about holding on to our Rock and Fortress, Jesus Christ, that encouraged and inspired everyone.

Also a part of the night’s program was the hooding of the honorary degrees of four of Messiah College’s Officers. Our Executive Director, Engr. Michelle Manuel-Bartolo and Academic Dean, Ms. Lorina Maulion for their Masteral Degrees and VP for Academic Affairs Mrs. Stella Maria Galang and VP for Student Affairs Ms. Phoebe Parrenas for their Doctorate Degrees by Dr. Douglas Jul, co-founder and president of Triune Biblical Asia, Inc.

The graduating class, members of the faculty and staff, parents and honourable guests certainly enjoyed this fun and heart-warming night, which ended with a video tribute to the parents and a song rendered by Timbre, the guest choir and a mocktail fellowship served right after.

Praise God for this wonderful night!
