Messiah College had its Annual College Retreat last March 14-17 at Serenity Christian Camp in Laguna.
The 4 days focused on Psalm 121, being the main verse and anthem of the whole retreat.
Our whole student body and faculty were refreshed from the hustle and bustle of academics from the past year and now have rekindled their passion and drive to face another school year ahead.
We thank the Lord for the deeper relationships that were formed with our students and faculty. The bond of family in Messiah College was strengthened even more.
It was an amazing experience for all and we look forward to other success of future events!
Every year Messiah College sends out teams that consist of students and staff soley for the purpose of local mission trips. This year, Messiah’s 63 students together with 13 faculty and staff who were divided into 9 student teams were deployed to: Batangas, Baler, Baguio, Benguet, Cavite, La Union, Olongapo, and Quezon for the annual 5-day Ministry Week.
Students are assigned as TeamLeader, Asst. Team Leader, Prayer Coordinator, Food &Housing Coordinator, Materials & Documentation Coordinator, and Transporatation Coordinator as part of their leadership training. Full time faculty and staff served as coaches for each team.
The teams planned outreach programs through classroom evangelism, street & house-to-house evangelism, as well as evangelistic seminars, discipleship seminars & community projects. Some teams trained church youth on how to share the Gospel. On the Sunday that the teams were on the trip, selected students gave their testimonies and did special numbers, while others will be taught Sunday School.
Throughout the whole trip of the 9 teams, we praise God for the 974 souls that prayed to receive Christ and the 1,081 people that were exposed to the Gospel!
Truly, a fruitful ministry and spiritual harvest took place! All Glory to God!
