Certificate in
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
6-Month
Program
Messiah's TESOL program differs from the usual one-month certificate programs
offered in other centers in that we do not only equip teachers in teaching
the English language using the latest trends and techniques, but we also
include subjects where we train our teachers how to incorporate Bible
principles and their lesson content. Most importantly, we equip them to be
marketplace missionaries here and abroad.
A
comparative study was made on the curriculum content of some independent
TESOL training in the U.S.
The findings revealed that only a few schools and centers have a credible
and reliable TESOL training course. Our TESOL program at Messiah has all
the variables or subject content needed for a reliable TESOL learning
experience. In fact, we have additional subjects that make us more
distinctive. Incorporated in our curriculum are subjects like Peoples and
Religions of the World, Worldviews Analysis and Development, Language &
Culture Learning, Educators and the Great Commission, and Interpersonal
& Intercultural Adjustment. These subjects would help trainees to be
more independent learners of the language and culture of the country where
they will teach. Our trainees are equipped as market missionary teachers
able to teach for life change.

Should Attend

program is open to missionaries, teachers and other Christian professionals
